Following are trip reports for the fourteeners in the order in which I climbed them.
If you read them in sequence, they form a novellette.
Each trip report lists basic statistics.
The elevations and rankings are taken from Edrinn's 1986 "Colorado Fourteeners".
Rank is the order by height (1-54) of Colorado fourteeners.
Difficulty is Gary's ranking of fourteeners :
one star (*) is easiest, five stars (*****) is most difficult.
These are subjective and based on personal experience.
Many of the trails/routes have been improved (or deteriorated) since I last saw them.

TRIP REPORT

7/24/84

From Torreys Peak we headed down to the Grays-Torreys saddle, passing a lot of friendly people on the way. We followed the ridge straight up to the summit of Grays, where we sat down among marmots and pikas and took a long lunch break.
After lunch we followed the switchbacking trail down to the car and then drove to Vail, where we had dinner and formulated a plan for Holy Cross. We finished our hearts game (I made an astounding comeback and won!) and Mitch had to be on his way; shortly thereafter he decided to settle in Boulder, so he did, which is good for me because now I have a cheap place to stay when I'm in that area.
